About
Us...
The Media Action Group for Mental Health was established in
December 2000 by a group of mental health ‘survivors’.
Since that time, we have made significant achievements in
changing and influencing media reporting on mental health issues.
We have challenged prejudiced views and encouraged balanced and
accurate reporting.
Our members receive training to enable them to work with the
newspapers, radio and TV to help to manage media representation of
mental distress and the people who experience mental ill health.
